Short-Term Disability (STD) Coverage
Short-Term Disability (STD) coverage provides income replacement if you become disabled and are unable to work. This section does not apply to employees of Buck Consultants. Please see the Buck Consultants addendum for salary continuation benefits.
All full-time employees (regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours or more each week) of ACS may enroll for coverage that replaces 60% of your eligible pay, up to a maximum monthly benefit of $8,000 per month (offset by other sources of income as described on page 111). You may choose from three benefit starting dates, as follows:
Option 1-Benefits begin on the day after you have been disabled 7 consecutive days.
Option 2-Benefits begin on the day after you have been disabled 14 consecutive days.
Option 3-Benefits begin on the day after you have been disabled 30 consecutive days.
Benefits continue as long as you remain disabled, up to 90 days from your date of disability.
